The final brief of first year has come around quicker than I had ever expected it to.

The brief is to design and produce a limited edition SHIRT from surplus waste textiles and pre-loved fabrics. One of the key elements of this brief is looking at sustainability and how we can reduce waste and also reuse waste in our designs. I think that sustainability is something that is becoming increasingly popular in the fashion industry as people are finally noticing what impact fashion has on our planet. In the brief there was a list of brands given to us and we had all been put into groups, my brand was Whistles. After the briefing was over I started out conducting some research into the brand I had been given so I knew what sort style the brand had and what direction I was looking to take it in.
