After knowing that I wanted to chose an object that was closer to my subject choice and after looking through the photos we had been given on the first day in the powerpoint I had fully decided on designing a window display.

I needed to start off thinking about the simplest of things; the season in which I wanted the display to take place in. I had to do this before I could even choose the garment in which I wanted to show. So for my window display, as it is the winter months at the moment I chose a winter one, with skiing being something that I love I felt that I could do an alpine themed window display showing off a new range of ski wear. To start off this I used sites like Tumblr and Pinterest to find images of the sort of thing that I wanted to use.

Above is the image that I chose as my inspiration. In it you can see the warmth of the town, I could represent this by using warm lights in my window display in the bottom and cool white at the top, and then these huge mountain ranges towering above the town.
