To get more of an idea of what sort of clothing I could put into my window display I went on Moncler again to look at their ski collection for this year; Grenoble.

I found they were mainly using reds and whites in their colour palettes. The red is something that I wanted incorporate into my window display in my garments but more of a darker Burgundy red as I think its a classy colour as opposed to the extremely bright red like seen above. They’re collection also has many different fastening like release buckles. This is also something that I want to put into my collection. Release buckles would be an easy fastening for people to do up and undo whether they were off piste with bare hands or on piste with gloves on.

These release buckles also featured on Moncler’s coats. They are used here to bring in the material around the waist, creating a flattering silhouette. This is something I can put into my designs as it looks like a more premium brand and really appeals to women. I also really like the idea of clashing prints like the middle coat has, it really draws your attention to it and for a garment in a window display this is a key feature that I need to include. And now with the amount of fashion houses breaking into the ski wear trends it is becoming more and more important to look fashionable on the slopes.
