For this project I wanted to look more into sustainable ways of dying my fabric and still creating this vibrant print to give my garments the look that I desire. I decided that to fit my idea of being based on the Australian bush fires I would rust dye my fabric. To do this I used various solutions to test it out first like water, malt vinegar, 50% malt vinegar 50% water, distilled vinegar and 70% distilled vinegar 30% water. I found the best one which I have taken forward for my final garments the 70% distilled vinegar 30% water, this gives the best colour that I want.
